The birth of a flower fairy

The sun was just starting to peek up over the rolling green hills. The dew glistened off the flowers; tulips, marigolds, violets, birthroots, marybells, anemone, lillys.. the Forrest was lush. Spring was in full bloom everywhere you looked and today was Alianna's day to bloom. She laid curled up in her brilliantly purple tulip. With one big yawn and a stretch her tulip started to bloom. This was it this was the day Alianna would finally see the world. She rolled onto her back and took it all in. The beautiful orange hues of the sun coming up over the horizons. The chirps of the hungry baby birds waiting for their mothers to return with breakfast. The dew glistening off the other flowers and the giggles of other faeries seeing the world for the first time too danced on the wind. It was bright and beautiful yet slightly chilly as the sun was still coming up to full strength. Alianna grabbed a petal and rolled up in it until it warmed up just a bit more. She took I'm the smells, sounds and the radiant colors coming from every direction. The Forrest was awake, there was so much to take in. Finally the sun warmed Alianna enough for her to get up and take a look around. It was the first time she realized she had wings. With a shutter she shoot them out and practiced flapping them until she started to lift herself up ever so slightly. They were stunning and translucent full of beautiful swirls of purple, pink and green. Finding some nectar for nourishment Alianna took some big strong flaps and went took off to take a look around her forrest….The sun was just starting to peek up over the rolling green hills.
